We scan neighboring solar systems for signs of a 'Goldilocks' planet capable of sustaining human life.
Two things are required if we are to settle beyond the furthest reaches of the Sol system. The first is a craft capable of safely and rapidly taking us so great a distance. The second is knowing where we are going once we get there. This latter has now been addressed - theoretically, at least. Our most advanced deep-space viewing telescope, Aesir, has finally completed its extensive survey of solar systems within plausible range of our own, enabling us to identify several worlds that may be fit for human life. “May” being very much the operative term, however.
