Kill the Hive is a Terra Invicta project in Xenology with a research cost of 50,000.
We devise a pherocyte-based bioweapon capable of ending the Hydra threat - permanently.
With the invaders' weakness now exposed, we have a theoretical means of annihilating them - but we cannot very well individually dispense our lethal cure to an unknown and perhaps effectively infinite number of Hydra in their distant lair. Thus, the second stage of this project has been focused not on the bioweapon itself, but on the delivery mechanism - one that can affect a maximum number of targets with a minimum of effort. This too has required a biological, rather than merely physical, solution - and, once again, has involved discovering a way to turn the aliens' most potent weapon against them. We already had our assassin's bullet, but now we have the rifle from which to fire it. We can begin.
