Superalloys — Terra Invicta technology. We design and assemble resilient metallic alloys from the atom up.

About Superalloys

Superalloys is a Terra Invicta technology in Materials with a research cost of 5,000.

We design and assemble resilient metallic alloys from the atom up.

The discipline of metallurgy has taken something of a back seat in materials science as research into carbon nanotubes, diamondoids, and other carbon allotropes have leapt into the fore. But advances in predictive chemistry and nanoscale atomic manipulation also offer the ability to develop new alloys that feature combinations of metals and other materials found neither in nature nor in industrial-era furnaces. More prosaic elements as iron, aluminum, nickel, and cobalt can be arranged in synthetic patterns, and rarer elements like rhenium, tungsten, and hafnium can be added as strengtheners to these new substances. End products vary but may offer previously unknown levels of heat resistance, tensile strength, and durability in hostile environments. This can lead to advances in areas ranging from armor and heat shielding to plasma containment and weaponry.
