In order to balance the scales, we investigate whether the aliens are susceptible to any particular form of attack.
While it is tempting to regard the Hydra as almost godlike compared to humanity, were that truly the case they would have simply seized Earth in one fell swoop. The question, then, is not of whether there is any chink in their armor, but of exactly where it is located. Of course, no species, least of all a sentient one, would ever willingly reveal its own vulnerabilities. As such, directly questioning the Hydra about what they most fear was inevitably a fool's errand. More indirect methods were instead required - and have yielded a singularly valuable insight.
